As manufacturer of HFI-welded steel pipe, e.g. for the transmission of important energy sources such as oil, gas und district heat, we feel obligated to help cope with the challenges posed by the German government's energy transition policy. Our contribution here is that we conceive energy management as an important pillar in our corporate management system and that we minimize specific energy consumption within our company. That way we reduce not only carbon dioxide emissions but, in the long run, also our production costs, which enables us to keep producing economically even if energy prices are rising.
In practice, our energy management consists of a bundle of measures:
- The basis on which we minimize energy consumption is consistent monitoring of all major points of consumption at our production sites.
- The main component of energy requirements in pipe production is electricity. So the use of state-of-the-art production technology with minimum energy consumption is our most important contribution towards eco-friendly energy management.
- In addition we make sure that our buildings meet all the statutory requirements regarding energy efficiency and that energy consumption by heating and lighting systems is sustainably reduced.
- Our employees are trained and fully informed about energy consumption within their respective spheres of responsibility and personal or organizational influence.
The effectiveness of our energy management measures is verified in regular internal and annual external audits by independent certification societies in line with statutory requirements. Our energy management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 50001.
