Pipe joints

Two types of welded joints can be used: the butt weld and the slip welding joint:

Pipes with butt-welded joints are generally used for gas and drinking water pipelines, while socket welded joints are used as an alternative for aggressive aqueous media. Once the pipe connection has been made, this provides continuous internal protection. In addition, detachable mechanical connections (coupling connections and flange connections) can be used, especially for exposed connections. Further information can be found here.
